It’s September- how did that happen? Today QVC launches autumn fashion with a big all-day event and I’ll be there later hosting three shows including the 5pm catwalk show. (AD!) And if you look on the homepage of the @qvcuk website you’ll see a link to my picks from the new season collections. One of the most unexpected parts of this job is occasionally having to model – not something I ever thought I would end up doing. I’m definitely not a natural at it – far too clumsy! – but I give it a go and this shoot for the fashion event was crammed into 20 minutes between a show and a meeting, so at least I didn’t have too much time to worry about it. (And thank you @charlotte_bhill for styling me and helping me on and off with the boots which wasn’t easy with my broken toe 🤣). I’m currently working on my tenth novel; it will be my seventh psychological thriller, but added to the three cosy crime novels I wrote in my early days as an author, there will soon be ten in total, plus all the foreign editions too. Until now my copies have been somewhat scattered around the house, some upstairs and some downstairs, so I thought it was about time they had a little space all to themselves. This area on our landing previously housed a lamp and a few plants, so I decided to re-purpose it. Finally, all my books in one place, and a furry thing to sit on and contemplate how incredibly lucky I am to be allowed to sit down and make up stories that people are actually happy to pay money for ❤️. There are days when I still have to pinch myself.
((Also, because I know some of you will ask (and this is not an ad, I bought it all) - shelves from @ikeauk, seat from @pictureperfecthome, mouse lamp from @grahamandgreen, books by me and @onemorechapterhc @harpercollinsuk and I can’t remember where the plant pot is from, it’s very old 😃))
